Description

Walking the Camino follows the unusual journey of six strangers, each from a different part of the world, as they attempt to cross an entire country on foot - with only a backpack, a pair of boots and an open mind. Driven by an inexplicable calling and a grand sense of adventure, each pilgrim throws themselves heart-and-soul into their physical trek to Santiago and, most importantly, their personal journey to themselves.

"The new film "Walking the Camino: Six Ways to Santiago" will almost certainly change someone's life, probably many someones."
- Wallace Baine, Santa Cruz Sentinel

“The credits of the film thank Martin Sheen, who recently starred in The Way, a dramatic narrative film about a father walking the Camino to get closer to his recently deceased son. The nonfiction version of that film is what we see here, and truth is indeed stranger, more vibrant, and more enjoyable than fiction.”
-Ygal Kaufman, Corvallis Advocate

"Producer and director Lydia B. Smith manages to capture in 84 minutes a multitude of not only the sights and sounds and events, but also the emotions and reflections that can make the Camino such a profound experience. Each of the six pilgrim stories is compelling. Each of the six pilgrims encounters obstacles, hardships, even pain, yet these are ultimately more than balanced by gifts, often unexpected, of joy, fellowship, and generosity."
- Lisa Signori, Ph.D., College of Charleston
